Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
By subscribing to Ringfolk, you ("Customer") agree to the following terms.
The service
Ringfolk provides an AI-powered phone receptionist that answers calls to a phone number associated with your account, captures caller information, and makes it available to you. The service is provided on a best-effort basis; we do not guarantee the AI's responses will be error-free.
Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. If a payment fails, your receptionist service is paused (callers hear a brief message instead of the full AI) until payment succeeds. You may cancel at any time; service continues through the end of the current billing period.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide for your receptionist's script (pricing, hours, services), and for complying with call-recording consent laws applicable to your business and your customers.
Acceptable use, monitoring, and termination
We monitor account activity, including call volume and usage patterns, for security, quality assurance, and abuse prevention. We may suspend or terminate service, without refund of the current billing period, for use that is illegal, fraudulent, or abusive toward the AI system or the providers it depends on (for example, deliberate attempts to manipulate, extract, or overload the underlying models). Each plan is priced for typical call volume for that plan (see Pricing); if your usage substantially and repeatedly exceeds that, we'll reach out first to discuss upgrading your plan before any suspension, except in cases of illegal or abusive use, which may result in immediate termination.
Limitation of liability
Ringfolk is not liable for missed business, lost leads, or other damages arising from service interruptions, AI errors, or third-party outages (telephony, payment processing, or model providers).
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
