Why Ringfolk exists
Every unanswered call is a customer who called someone else next. Small businesses lose real, countable revenue to missed calls, hold music, and voicemail, not because the work isn't there, but because nobody was free to answer the phone.
Ringfolk is a service of Dykes Ventures LLC. It's built and run by a technologist with a cybersecurity background, the same person behind bobbycodes.dev, a Louisiana-based security consulting practice. That background shapes how this is built: the speech recognition, text-to-speech, and voice pipeline are self-hosted rather than resold from a third-party voice-AI platform. Fewer vendors in the call path means fewer places for a customer's data to end up, and no per-minute markup from a platform sitting between Ringfolk and the AI model actually doing the work.
The product is straightforward on purpose: answer every call, capture the lead, book the appointment when possible, and hand a business owner exactly what a good front-desk hire would, without cutting corners on how customer and caller data gets stored and secured.
